DJI Inspire drone tracking an MTB downhill rider

MTB 路 Enduro 路 Motocross 路 FMX

Drone filming for MTB,
motorbikes and riders.

Hand-flown FPV drones to follow professional riders on track. Downhill, enduro, motocross and outdoor sports. Coordination with the rider's team, real safety margins and shots a stabilised drone can't get.

What we've filmed

Every discipline calls for
a different set-up.

Downhill calls for an agile FPV. Enduro needs more range. Motocross needs hero shots at the jump. We adapt the gear, distances and speeds to each discipline and each rider.

directions_bike

MTB Downhill

Side and behind tracking shots at bike parks or on trails. Hand-flown FPV for drops, jumps and tight corners. Inspire 3 for wide shots and the descending line.

terrain

Enduro and XC

Longer routes and changing terrain. We combine the Inspire for landscape travelling shots with FPV for technical sections. Extra batteries for the day.

sports_motorsports

Motocross and FMX

Hero shot of the jump, track tracking and wheelies. FPV behind the rider with the camera angled up. Comms coordinated with the track marshal.

downhill_skiing

Skiing and snowboarding

Tracking shots on-piste or backcountry. Extreme cold plus altitude call for a specific battery protocol. The Inspire 3 is certified down to -20掳C; in the cold we rotate pre-warmed batteries.

directions_run

Trail and ultra-distance running

Mountain races, ultras and trail running. Inspire 3 for long travelling shots and high angles; FPV for the moment the runner enters frame. Route planning with the production team.

surfing

Surfing and water sports

Surfing, kitesurfing and wakeboarding. Inspire 3 with splash protection plus wind protocols. Real-time coordination with the rider for synchronised shots.

How we work

The rider
calls the shots on track.

A professional rider knows which trick they can repeat 8 times and which one they shouldn't even attempt. Our job is to tell them what shot we need and let them decide how. When they say "I'm not repeating this trick today", that's it. No discussion.

01

Recce with the rider

The day before, we go to the track with the rider. They show us the line, mark the exact point of the trick and identify which sections are technical. We leave with a fixed plan of passes.

02

Calibration pass without recording

First pass of the day: the rider does their line at real speed, we fly the planned flight path. We check on the monitor how it all fits together and adjust height and distance. Only then do we start recording.

03

Radio communications

Radios between the drone pilot, the camera operator and the rider's team spotter. If one of us aborts, we all abort. No exceptions.

04

Real safety margins

We never fly over the rider on an impact trajectory. If they're doing an aerial trick, the drone stays to the side or behind. The rider's helmet and protective gear are non-negotiable, even if they "get in the way" of the shot.

FAQ

What we're
asked.

Do you work with amateur riders or only professionals? add

We work with professional and semi-pro riders. If your video is for a brand, a team or a competition, that's our market. For amateur shoots, our prices are usually not viable.

Can you film at a bike park or official track? add

Yes. We coordinate with the bike park or circuit management to close the track during the passes. AESA authorisation and liability insurance are included in the service.

What drone do you bring to an MTB shoot? add

Inspire 3 + FPV unit as the standard set-up. The Inspire covers landscape, high angles and clean travelling shots. The FPV comes in when the shot calls for weaving through trees, following the rider through technical sections or cut-free transitions.

Do you do live broadcasts? add

For live events, we feed the drone signal into the organiser's broadcast equipment. We have experience integrating the drone signal into live television productions. We work out the technical details at the recce.

How much does it cost to film a rider with a drone?add

One day with Inspire 3 and FPV, a pilot, an operator and an assistant, plus the bike park or track permit. For brand, team or competition videos it's a fixed quote once we know the track and the passes.

How do you prepare MTB routes before filming?add

We review the track with the rider and production to define flight paths, camera points and safety zones. We prepare the passes and rehearsals before filming.
